Is Counselling eligible for Medicare rebates?

Counselling services are not eligible for rebates through Medicare under a mental health plan. This is currently only offered for psychology services.

This is an area which ACA strongly lobbies towards. Most recently, ACA launched the Counsellors Care campaign to educate and lobby for the inclusion of Registered Counsellors in the Medicare system.
